President Trump warns of Democrats’ destructive agenda if they win midterms in 2026
President Donald Trump foreshadowed Democrat priorities if the opposition party wins the 2026 midterms and takes the majority in Congress, calling it ‘terrible for our Country’

President Donald Trump on Friday issued a stern warning to Republicans ahead of the rapidly approaching midterm election year, highlighting the Democrats’ agenda should they win the majority in 2026.
“The Democrats number one policy push is the complete and total OBLITERATION of our great United States Supreme Court,” the president said on Truth Social.
He explained, “They will do this on their very first day in office, through the simple Termination of the Filibuster, SHOULD THEY WIN THE UPCOMING ELECTIONS. The Radical Left Democrats are looking at 21 Justices, with immediate ascension.”
President Trump described such a hypothetical turn of events as “terrible for our Country,” but noted that “Republicans will not let it, or any of [Democrats’] catastrophic policies, happen.”
With midterm elections now less than one year away, the nation will be watching closely to see if Republicans can expand or, at the very least, maintain their slim majority in Congress. Without a majority, the president’s administration will be legislatively crippled for the remainder of his second term.
Currently, Polymarket’s betting odds are projecting an 80 percent chance that Democrats take the House in 2026. This comes amid what some see as inner turmoil within the GOP conference as prominent members like Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene, R-Ga., are resigning amid perceived disunity.
A report from the New York Times also suggested this week that current South Carolina Rep. Nancy Mace (R) may also retire early from Congress, following Rep. Greene’s lead.
As reported by LindellTV, more high-profile resignations from members of Congress may be coming down the pike. An unidentified senior House Republican reportedly told Jack Sherman of Punchbowl News that “morale has never been lower” in the House, and that many Republicans expect Speaker Mike Johnson, R-La., to be “stripped of his gavel” next year.
