Speaker Johnson slams dangerous leftist antics: ‘They’re trying to incite violence’
President Donald Trump’s social media activity over the weekend has sparked laughter and questions about the ‘No Kings’ protests that unfolded on Saturday

Republican Speaker of the House Mike Johnson condemned violent imagery and criticism from radical leftists on Monday, clearly drawing a line between free speech and what he described as incitement to violence.
Johnson’s comments came as a response to a question from the press regarding President Donald Trump’s social media activity over the weekend, in which the president shared an AI-generated video of himself dumping what appeared to be feces on leftist protestors – including prominent Democrat mouthpiece Harry Sisson – from a fighter jet called “King Trump.”
This was a direct response to Saturday’s nationwide “No Kings” protests.
Over the weekend, critics of President Trump’s administration gathered nationwide at multiple “No Kings” events in a show of political opposition to the president’s agenda.
As for the video, Johnson cracked a smile on Monday and said, “The president used his social media to make a point. You can argue that he’s probably the most effective person who’s ever used social media…He is using satire to make a point. He is not calling for the murder of his political opponents. And that’s what THESE people are doing.”
Speaker Johnson was referring to the less-than-desirable images and posters that surfaced at some of these “No Kings” rallies.
“In one of these photos, I think there’s a picture of the president hanging in effigy by a noose…it’s unconscionable,” he said. “Look, America is built on the idea of free speech, you have the right to protest, of course, we jealously guard that…but what they’re doing right now is different.”
Speaker Johnson added, “They’re trying to incite violence. It’s not funny. You don’t mock a president who has already had two failed assassination attempts on his life. This is not a game.”
