Opinion: Tim Walz calls Mike Lindell a “con man”…oh the irony
By Easton Martin | December 11, 2025
Yes, you read that title right. Minnesota Governor referred to Mike Lindell as a “con man” on X today. Perhaps I can explain the irony in a way which Walz might grasp:
Dear Governor Walz: It appears Minnesota, you know, the state you are actually paid to run, has hemorrhaged millions, perhaps billions, in taxpayer funds. Care to explain the disappearing act?
Let’s be clear: the Somali fraud in Minnesota happened under Tim Walz watch. Walz is a man in a glass house throwing stones.
Hundreds of millions, perhaps even a billion dollars was fraudulently siphoned off to Somali “programs” right under the governor’s nose. Despite that well known fact, Walz has the brilliance, the unprecedented genius, to call Mike Lindell a con man.
Tim Walz is scared. While the many on the left are downplaying Lindell’s run as a longshot amid a crowded field in a Democratic state, Walz’ response makes it clear that he is afraid of something.
I suppose that if I were governor of a state that experienced unprecedented levels of fraud under my watch, and someone running to replace me had investigating and stopping fraud high on their priority list, I too would be scared.
