U.S. military targets bridges in Iran, with power plants possibly up next
President Donald Trump said on Wednesday that he hoped to wrap up the war with Iran in two to three weeks. Perhaps this timeline accounts for the rapid clip of attacks against Iranian infrastructure overseas.

In a bid to end a very complex war with Iran, the U.S. military has begun to hit domestic infrastructure within Iran, targeting bridges now and, potentially, power plants in the future, as President Donald Trump pressures the regime to make a deal.
“The biggest bridge in Iran comes tumbling down, never to be used again — Much more to follow! IT IS TIME FOR IRAN TO MAKE A DEAL BEFORE IT IS TOO LATE, AND THERE IS NOTHING LEFT OF WHAT STILL COULD BECOME A GREAT COUNTRY!” the president wrote on Thursday in a statement posted to Truth Social.
Included with the president’s statement was a video of a bridge being blown up.
On Thursday evening, the president also noted that the U.S. military “hasn’t even started destroying what’s left in Iran.”
He set his sights on their bridges and electric power plants. “New Regime leadership knows what has to be done, and has to be done, FAST!” the president remarked.
This follows President Donald Trump’s national address on Wednesday night, where he looked toward ending the war in Iran within the next two to three weeks.
“Thanks to the progress we’ve made, I can say tonight we are on track to achieve all of America’s objectives shortly – very shortly,” he stated. “We’re going to hit them extremely hard over the next two to three weeks. We’re going to bring them back to the Stone Ages where they belong. In the meantime, discussions are ongoing. Regime change was not our goal…but regime change has occurred because of all of their original leaders’ death.”
He also said that if no deal with Iran is achieved over the coming weeks, “we have our eyes on key targets.”
The war with Iran is about to wrap up its fifth week, and the Strait of Hormuz – a key chokepoint in the Middle East that transports around 20 percent of the world’s oil supply – is still unsafe and unsecured.
President Trump has repeatedly called on allied nations to take control of the Strait themselves.
On Friday, he changed tack a bit and added, “With a little more time, we can easily OPEN THE HORMUZ STRAIT, TAKE THE OIL, & MAKE A FORTUNE. IT WOULD BE A ‘GUSHER’ FOR THE WORLD???”
On Friday, a U.S. fighter jet was reportedly shot down over Iran, leaving at least two American pilots allegedly stranded in enemy territory. As reported by LindellTV, White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt said the president had been briefed on the matter.
This suggests that, perhaps, the airspace over Iran is not as secure as the U.S. military would like it to be.
By Friday afternoon, Axios reported that one of the two U.S. crewmembers behind enemy lines had been rescued.
