President Donald Trump’s efforts to secure peace in the Middle East are popular among everyday Americans, and recent polling appears to confirm this.
According to data from Rasmussen Reports, the president has jumped from a 46 percent approval rating to 51 percent since October 5 among likely U.S. voters.
This includes 34 percent of Americans who “strongly approve” of the job President Trump is doing.
On Monday, the president flew to the Middle East, where he delivered remarks at the Israeli Knesset and lauded the historic “triumph” of the Gaza peace plan he has put forth, which secured the return of 20 living hostages and 28 deceased hostages to Israel.
President Trump said, “This is not only the end of a war, this is the end of an age of terror and death, and the beginning of the age of faith and hope and of God. It’s the start of a grand concord and lasting harmony for Israel and all the nations of what will soon be a truly magnificent region.”
Dozens of world leaders met with President Trump shortly after his remarks at the Gaza Peace Summit in Egypt, where representatives from around the globe came together in support of President Trump’s work.
Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu praised President Trump on Monday for his efforts to achieve peace in his country and the Middle East – a feat thought to be impossible by many critics.
“I’ve never seen anyone move the world so quickly, so decisively, so resolutely as our friend, President Donald J. Trump,” he remarked.
The prime minister also revealed that he nominated President Trump for Israel’s highest civilian honor, the Israel Prize. This would mark the first time a non-Israeli citizen receives such an honor, should the president win the award.
