President Trump was proven right once again by Nielsen data, which showed a significant decline in viewership for late-night host Jimmy Kimmel, who has become notorious for negative comments about President Trump and the MAGA movement.
According to Fox News, ratings have declined for “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” from 2010 to 2025:
In fact, the outlet reported that Kimmel’s ratings had dropped to an average of just 1.1 million viewers in 2025, along with a massive 72 percent drop in the most important viewing demographic: 25-54-year-olds. Among that demographic, average viewership is only 261,000.
President Trump has referred to Kimmel’s show as “ratings challenged,” and it seems as if he has been proven resoundingly correct:
“Great News for America: The ratings challenged Jimmy Kimmel Show is CANCELLED. Congratulations to ABC for finally having the courage to do what had to be done. Kimmel has ZERO talent, and worse ratings than even Colbert, if that’s possible. That leaves Jimmy and Seth, two total losers, on Fake News NBC. Their ratings are also horrible. Do it NBC!!! President DJT”
This comes just two days after Kimmel’s show was yanked from ABC following his baseless claims that the suspected killer of the late and beloved Charlie Kirk was “MAGA.”
Kimmel’s show was canceled following off-color jokes about the horrific event, which included the above claim.
He said, “We hit some new lows over the weekend with the MAGA gang desperately trying to characterize this kid who murdered Charlie Kirk as anything other than one of them. And doing everything they can to score political points from it.”
The alleged killer, Tyler Robinson, has been charged with seven crimes, including aggravated murder, which carries the death penalty in the state of Utah. Based on charging documents presented by prosecutors in the court, Robinson was anything but “MAGA.”
Kimmel’s comments, made on “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” were noted by Sinclair, the largest ABC affiliate group in the country.
“Mr. Kimmel’s remarks were inappropriate and deeply insensitive at a critical moment for our country,” said Sinclair Vice Chairman Jason Smith.
In place of Kimmel’s show, Sinclair’s ABC stations will “air a special remembrance of Charlie Kirk this Friday, during Jimmy Kimmel Live’s timeslot.”
