President Donald Trump revealed on Monday that he recently underwent an advanced medical test while visiting Walter Reed hospital in early October, amid his busy trip to Asia.
“I got an MRI, it was perfect,” President Trump said.
A reporter asked him if the doctors were looking for anything specific with this MRI. The president said, “You could ask the doctors. We have doctors traveling with us…nobody has ever given you reports like this. If I didn’t think it was going to be good, either, I would let you know, negatively. I wouldn’t run, I’d do something. But the doctor said some of the best reports for the age – some of the best reports they’ve ever seen.”
The president’s evaluation at Walter Reed took place on October 10. Shortly after his visit, Physician to the President Sean P. Barbabella’s summary of the visit was released by the White House.
In his statement, Barbabella said President Trump underwent “advanced imaging, laboratory testing, and preventive health assessments conducted by a multidisciplinary team of specialists.”
He described the president’s laboratory studies as “exceptional,” as were all other health parameters, including metabolic and cardiac.
Barabella said that President Trump also received immunizations and an updated Covid-19 vaccine booster in preparation for upcoming foreign travel.
“President Trump continues to demonstrate excellent overall health,” the doctor wrote, noting that the president’s cardiac age measures at around 14 years younger than his chronological age.
President Donald Trump’s comments aboard Air Force One come amid a very busy weekend overseas, where he brokered historic trade deals with Malaysia and Cambodia, as well as reciprocal trade frameworks with Thailand and Vietnam, per the White House.
He also signed key critical minerals deals with both Malaysia and Thailand.
This follows a massive rare earth agreement with Australia last week.
