The Trump admin’s top triumph is securing the border – let’s not forget it
The complete chaos and insanity of the Biden administration’s open border policies took a sledgehammer to the foundations of American sovereignty. The Trump administration has done a great job in restoring border security and common sense.

It’s hard to forget the headlines that bombarded social media during the Biden administration: footage of Haitian nationals surging near the border in Del Rio, Texas. Chinese illegals slipping into California near San Diego. Photos of massive caravans of migrants headed to the southern border from South America.
And the aftermath of these entries? Devastating. An unfettered flow of drugs like fentanyl into the United States, carried on the backs of traffickers. An increase in the sex slave trade and terrible assaults at the border. Hundreds of thousands of missing, trafficked children. Unthinkable crimes perpetrated against American citizens, particularly young women like 22-year-old Laken Riley (murdered by a Venezuelan illegal alien gang member in 2024) and Jocelyn Nungaray (a 12-year-old Texas girl brutally killed by two Venezuelan illegals).
By every definition available, what took place during the Biden open border years was a violent invasion of foreigners.
It’s hard to say how many migrants illegally crossed into the United States during this time. According to the Pew Research Center, the illegal population reached 14 million in 2023. A newer report from the Migration Policy Institute postulated that the illegal population hit 15.8 million in mid-2024.
President Trump has unofficially suggested that as many as 21 million illegals may have entered the country under the Biden-Harris administration. His claim is entirely plausible, given the lack of enforcement at the border and the incentives for illegals to cross into states like California (a sanctuary state): free healthcare, low-cost housing, and free public schooling.
The border is Trump’s biggest accomplishment
Reflecting on the utter chaos and insanity of the Biden years, one thing is clear: securing the border is the Trump administration’s most esteemed accomplishment.
Over the past 14 consecutive months, there have been zero releases at the border, according to the U.S. Customs and Border Protection. Along with border security has come a decrease in border encounters, Southwest border apprehensions, and a rapid increase in illicit drug seizures.
“As I have said many times, leadership and policy matter. When laws are enforced, fewer people will break the law. Under the leadership of President Trump and Secretary Mullin, CBP is fully enforcing our immigration and border security laws. CBP has established meaningful border security resulting in sustained deterrence of illegal crossings. I am proud to report yet another decline in illegal border crossings this month,” said CBP Commissioner Rodney S. Scott in a July statement.
He continued, “CBP is preventing dangerous criminal aliens and illicit narcotics from entering our communities, enhancing the safety of every American for generations to come.”
This work is important, and it is literally saving American lives every day. Securing the border and stopping illegal crossings is an act of humanitarianism and common sense that puts America first.
Spain is a chilling reminder of what could happen here (again)
This week, headlines exploded with the news of nearly 50,000 African migrants (and counting) swarming the shores of Ceuta, an enclave in Spain. As reported by LindellTV, the surge was sparked by a Spanish Supreme Court decision that allowed migrants to cross into the city by sea.
The images were chilling: massive swaths of young men (notably, women and children were nowhere to be seen), climbing the shores of Ceuta and literally running into the city.
“I watched the catastrophe that took place…it looks like an invasion of the country,” President Trump said of Spain on Friday, during a Cabinet meeting at Camp David.
He warned that the “same thing” would happen to the United States if Democrats were to retake power following the 2026 midterms and beyond.
“Despite the fact that we have built thousands of miles of wall…we have the safest border in the world. If we’re not in office, our country will be invaded at levels that make Spain look small-time,” the president remarked.
He’s right. The second the far-left were to retake power, the open border policies of the Biden administration – policies designed to structurally weaken the United States – would immediately be reimplemented. Could the U.S. survive a second wave of open border invasion? It’s unlikely.
As the midterms – and even the 2028 presidential election – loom ever closer, it’s important to remember how bad the Biden immigration crisis was, and just how hard the current administration has worked to secure the border.
Other political fights may be waged, but on the border, the Trump administration has put America first and rightfully protected the people.
