Arizona Senator Mark Kelly (D), a retired U.S. Navy Captain, has come under intense scrutiny for troubling comments he made last week, in which he alleged President Trump’s orders were illegal

Sen. Mark Kelly (D-Ariz.) has found himself in seriously hot water with the U.S. Department of War just days after partaking in a troubling Democrat-coordinated video that alleged President Donald Trump’s orders were “illegal.”
“…a thorough review of these allegations has been initiated to determine further actions, which may include recall to active duty for court-martial proceedings or administrative measures,” the DOW said in an official statement on Monday.
The video that sparked this statement broadly alleged that President Trump’s orders were illegal, although Democrat lawmakers never specified which orders they were referring to, leaving their comments open to broad interpretation.
Participants in the video repeatedly stated that U.S. servicemembers and members of the National Security apparatus did not have to obey orders from the president that were ambiguously “illegal.”
These statements drew significant criticism, especially from the Commander-in-Chief.
“It’s called SEDITIOUS BEHAVIOR AT THE HIGHEST LEVEL!” President Trump said of the video, which also included comments from Democrats like Sen. Elissa Slotkin (Mi.) and Rep. Jason Crow (Colo.).
Sen. Kelly, who formerly served as a U.S. Navy Captain, was aggressive in doubling down on his statements. He responded to President Trump’s comments by claiming the Commander-in-Chief’s rhetoric was “dangerous.”
As reported by LindellTV, President Trump angrily labeled these specific Democrats calling for military disobedience as “TRAITORS” and even noted that past seditious behavior in the United States was “punishable by DEATH!”
According to the Department of War, the matter with Sen. Kelly, specifically, will be handled “in compliance with military law, ensuring due process and impartiality.”
The DOW reminded all military retirees that they are subject to the Uniform Code of Military Justice (UCMJ), and any actions that are intended to interfere with military loyalty or discipline can be legally addressed.
“All servicemembers are reminded that they have a legal obligation under the UCMJ to obey lawful orders and that orders are presumed to be lawful,” the DOW stated. “A servicemember’s personal philosophy does not justify or excuse the disobedience of an otherwise lawful order.”
