President Trump takes major step in ending woke gender ideology in public schools

The Trump administration is taking firm action to ensure federal dollars are spent as Congress intended, putting 46 states and territories on notice over the inclusion of gender ideology in sex education programs.
The directive, issued by the Department of Health and Human Services, gives states 60 days to remove materials that promote gender ideology from the Personal Responsibility Education Program, which provides about 81 million dollars in funding nationwide. Officials explained that PREP was designed to address concrete goals such as preventing teen pregnancy and sexually transmitted infections, not to advance political agendas.

California recently lost its PREP funding after refusing to comply, a move that highlighted the administration’s resolve. Acting Assistant Secretary Andrew Gradison stated that taxpayer dollars must be used responsibly and that the federal government will not subsidize ideological content that strays from the program’s purpose.
President Trump’s leadership has drawn strong support from parents and communities who believe schools should focus on education rather than controversial social messaging. By drawing a clear line, the administration is reasserting accountability, protecting children from politicized content, and ensuring that public funds serve the nation’s core priorities.
